Canada Carbon Rebate- Look for it Today!
It's Canada Carbon Rebate Day! Look for your payment today, either by cheque or direct deposit. The Canada Carbon Rebate (CCR) helps Canadians to offset the cost of Carbon Pricing, with 8 out of 10 families receiving more through the CCR. On average, a family of four in Ontario will receive $1,120 this year, paid in 4 installments.
Hundreds of Canadian economists have signed a letter setting out how the Carbon Pricing and Rebate system works. You can read the letter here: An Open Letter from Economists on Canadian Carbon Pricing | Ecofiscal

Canada Child Benefit Goes Up This Month
Canada Child Benefit Goes Up This Month
Starting this month, the Canada Child Benefit (CCB) is increasing. The CCB provides support for low-to-middle-income families with children. It is tax-free and based on income, providing more support to those who most need help. The CCB has been annually indexed since 2018 to keep up with the rising cost of living. Beginning July 2024, the maximum annual benefit will be $7,787 per child under 6 years of age and $6,570 per child aged 6 through 17. Parents can expect to receive their payment on July 19, and you can find more information, including how much you might receive, by following the link here.
