Keating Channel Pedestrian Bridge
I’m sure many of you are as excited as I am to see how the Portlands have been developing. One key element, the design competition of the Keating Channel Pedestrian Bridge, will be virtually presented this Thursday from 5:30pm to 8pm. Please read more here and you will find the registration link therein. This natural infrastructure project is partly federally funded and it is great to see it progress so quickly.
Indigenous Legacy Gathering
The Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre will be hosting a two-day event at Nathan Phillips Square. There will be Indigenous speakers, workshops, children’s activities and demonstrations. Please see more here.
A Day to Listen
Listen all day during The National Day of Truth and Reconciliation to learn about Indigenous identity as it weaves through all aspects of life. Find out more here.
New Horizons for Seniors Webinar
The New Horizons for Seniors Program provides funds to promote social engagement in seniors and we are very fortunate to have several groups in our neighbourhood. I am happy to be hosting several local groups to hear about what they are doing and how someone can join. Please register here to get a link and tune in on Monday, Oct 2 at 6pm.
Yours,
Julie
