I have heard from many of you about your concerns with the province's plan to build housing on the Greenbelt.
On March 21st, the Environment and Climate Change Minister, Steven Guilbeault requested that the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada work with Parks Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada to develop the proposed approach and scope for how the Rouge National Urban Park Study will be undertaken. You can read more about that announcement here.
I am now happy to share the following news: the Impact Assessment Agency, Parks Canada, and Environment and Climate Change Canada will be holding information sessions to inform you, the public, about the planning process to establish the scope and approach for the Rouge National Urban Park Study. These sessions will also explore future opportunities for public participation, as well as solicit comments from the public. Please click here to register for Session 3.
I hope you will take the opportunity to share your thoughts and learn more about the ways in which we as a community can protect our local habitat and wildlife.
Yours truly,
Julie
